Concrete Finishes
Honed & Pavilion Concrete Melbourne
Premium architectural finishes with exposed stone and refined appearance. Two options — different levels of texture and grip.
Both honed and pavilion concrete are premium architectural finishes suited to pool surrounds and high-end outdoor areas. They share a refined, stone-exposed appearance — the key difference is in the level of surface texture and grip each provides.
Honed concrete is mechanically ground to expose the aggregate within the concrete, creating a smoother and more refined architectural appearance. The result is a consistent, refined surface with a subtle sheen — polished to reveal the aggregate and cement paste beneath. A slip-resistant sealer is applied for wet areas.
Pavilion concrete is a more textured exposed-stone finish that retains more surface texture and grip, making it particularly suitable around pools and wet outdoor areas. It sits between exposed aggregate and honed concrete in terms of texture: more refined than aggregate, more grip than honed.
